Lynnie Z’s stunning new show ‘Studio’ has just opened at The Book Club in collaboration with The Art of Ping Pong. The East London based artist’s vibrant images are an explosion of colour and energy, her body of work an exploration of the ephemeral world that exists when creating, and is manifested in each stage of the creative process; from sketches to murals.

Lynnie’s work can be characterised with playful, alluring figures, the vivacious characters dance around the space elegantly; reflecting her love for African culture, colour and pattern. In doing so she holds a mirror up to female empowerment, illustrating the strength in women, a constant source of inspiration in her work. This exhibition encapsulates her journey of the creative process beautifully.

The Art of Ping Pong, brainchild of Algy Batten, creates a platform that allows art and ping pong to compliment each other, blended with a wonderful ethos that collaborates with charities. The space invites you to immerse yourself in the artists’ world, in this case in Lynnie Z’s seductive figures and forms, where one of a kind ping pong tables and personalised paddles demonstrate the perfect blank canvas.

The interactive exhibition is showcased in East London’s The Book club; a thriving bar/exhibition space hosting an array of artwork that compels guests to relish in new talent in an unconventional backdrop. Curated by Liat Chen, Lynnie Z’s work is emblazoned on the walls and ping pong space, captivating the audience in this enchanting setting.

Studio by Lynnie Z is a free exhibition running at The Book Club, Leonard St London EC2A, from 8th November – 17th February 2019
